Furleigh Estate, Langham Wine Estate and Bride Valley Vineyard are joining forces to celebrate English Wine Week from Saturday 25th May to Saturday 1st June by creating their own West Dorset Vineyard Trail. From Langham Wine Estate in the east, Bride Valley down towards the sea and Furleigh Estate in the west, visitors will experience a range of very different vineyard sites and styles of wine. Those who visit all three vineyards during English Wine Week will have the chance to win three bottles of the finest Dorset sparkling wine - one from each of the vineyards.
Pick up a questions sheet at your first vineyard and fill in the answers to vineyard-specific questions as you go round to all three. Leave your full set of answers at the last vineyard and you will be entered into the draw. Good luck!
Opening time vary so see individual vineyards' websites for details.
We are delighted that Juliet Harbutt, author, educator and judge, is returning to Furleigh Estate to present an introduction to English artisan cheeses with a selection of newly released 2018 wines at the vineyard. Join us from 6.45pm for a glass of Furleigh Estate Classic Cuvée for a 7pm start. Numbers are strictly limited so booking in advance is essential. READ MORE AND BOOK
Make the most of the long Summer evenings. Join us on Midsummer's day for an evening tour of the vineyard and winery. We will start at around 6pm with a glass of sparkling Classic Cuvee. This will be followed by a leisurely stroll to the vineyard to view the vines, which may well be flowering by this time. Our resident deer and other wildlife may well join us us at this time of day. Following a tour of the winery we return to the tasting room for a further glass of sparkling wine on the terrace.
Cost: £17.50 per person. Click on the link below to book.
Enjoy the lighter evenings this summer with a Nordic Walking session in the vineyard under the experienced eye of Julia Williams & Paul Duffy from The Garden Studios in Bridport. Julia and Paul are passionate about exercise being accessible to all, so whilst this is a full body workout, you can set your own pace as you find the rhythm with the walking poles provided.
Tea will be available from 5.30pm followed by a one hour session from 5.45pm including warm up and cool down. The session finishes with a rewarding glass of sparkling wine on the terrace.
Tickets are £10. Places are limited, so please BOOK HERE or you can buy a ticket in the vineyard shop, which is open Monday to Saturday 11am to 5pm.
