An Evening at Lesley Waters’ Cookery School
Thursday 28th September from 7pm

We are very excited that Furleigh Estate and celebrity chef, Lesley Waters, have teamed up to host a fabulous evening including a cookery demonstration and tasting menu paired with Furleigh Estate still and sparkling wines.

The evening starts with a sparkling reception and canapesLesley will cook each course and Rebecca will talk about the wines which have been chosen to go with each dish. Everyone will receive a goody bag containing recipes cards and an exclusive Furleigh Estate wine chiller to take home.

Tasting Menu

  • Thai style fish curry and crispy noodles and Thai style tapas mussels paired with Bacchus Fume 2015
  • Pork  Rafute, Slow cooked pork belly dish and Lamb tagine paired with Tyrannosaurus Red 2014
  • Baby bread and butter crab and coriander cocktails and seared scallop toasts or tarts with Puy lentil dressing paired with sparkling Rosé 2010
  • Stilton brioche galette and crusted black pudding chicken with bean ragout paired with White Pinot Noir 2015
  • Duck terrine with onion chutney paired with Blanc de Noirs 2014
  • Cheesy beignets or double baked cheese soufflés and smoked salmon sushi with sesame and avocado paired with Classic Cuvée 2013

Harvest Grand Tour and Lunch
Saturday, 14th October 2017 at 11am

Our Harvest Grand Tour of Furleigh Estate’s vineyard and winery starts with a glass of Furleigh Estate sparkling wine on arrival followed by a tour of the vineyard.  Here, we will see how the harvest is progressing and what is still left to pick.  We will then visit the winery to taste the juice from the previous day’s pressings as well as get a harvest progress report from our winemaker.  The tour finishes back in the tasting room with a special harvest lunch accompanied by Furleigh Estate still and sparkling wines, (a further glass of sparkling wine and a glass of still wine is included in the price, with more to purchase by the glass if you wish, so decide who is driving beforehand or arrange a taxi). The Harvest Grand Tour and Lunch starts at 11am, costs £30 per person and can be booked here.

Harvest Supper and Stories in the Vineyard
Thursday, 2nd November 2017 at 7.30pm

As harvest comes to an end, we will be celebrating with an evening of supper and story-telling. A meal of hearty autumnal food (including a pud) and a glass of Furleigh Estate wine together with professional story-teller Martin Maudsley seems an appropriate way to mark the changing season. Martin will enthral us all with some west country tales around the fire (weather permitting). We might even toast some marshmallows! The cost is £20 per person and places can be booked here.
