A pretty, dry rosé wine bursting with summer fruits. The colour is deep rosehip pink with broad legs. It is intensely perfumed with aromas of peony and ripe red berries including raspberry, redcurrant and maraschino cherry. It bursts into life on the palate with delicious juicy ripe strawberry, cranberry and a citrus edge of ruby grapefruit. It shows good vibrancy and has great depth of flavour with the mildest hint of chilli on the finish.
Perfect served slightly chilled with seafood such as lobster, prawns or local dressed-crab. Nice served with antipasti such as tomato bruschetta, herb-infused olives or tapenade crostini. Also good tomato dishes such as grilled squid in a rich tomato sauce. A great ccompaniment to cured meats, charcuterie, paté and terrines.
After hand-picking, the red grapes were whole-bunch pressed to produce a natural rosé wine. It was fermented at a cool temperature to retain the natural aromas.
