A classic dry sparkling wine with elegance and poise. The colour is pale straw with a steady stream of minute bubbles. It has enticing aromas of freshly baked brioche, honeyed oats, biscuit and nougat. On the palate it has a creamy mousse with ripe quince, baked apple and a hint of pear frangipane. There is a seamless integration of yeasty complexity plus balance and freshness. The finish is crisp, dry and very moreish.
Perfect for celebrations, served well-chilled as an aperitif alongside canapés such as smoked salmon blinis, cheese gougères or mini mushroom vol-au-vents. Also good with salmon-en-croute or creamy fish pie. Or try it with local fish and chips!
This traditional, bottle-fermented, quality sparkling wine is made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. These classic French varieties give this wine a creamy mousse, a fruity and harmonious taste and good length focussed on freshness. After hand picking, the grapes were whole bunch pressed to obtain the finest juice. Tirage took place after 7 months. The wine was then left to mature on its lees for at least 18 months, with a further 2 months in the bottle after dosage.
